Firstly, the faculty established in 2011 a simulation-based skills program for postgraduates and developed a clinical skills and simulation training center formerly called the Center of Excellence for Medical Professional Development (CEMPD) now became Center for Education in Medical Simulation. In November 11, 2011 the center was endorsed by the Chinese Medical Doctors Association, then standing at 2.6 million members (now over 4 million). Currently, the centre is around 1,000 square meters. There are dual entrances for students to disperse in order to avoid the possibility of colliding in hallways if there are multiple classes taking place. The training rooms in the center include a conference room, one large sim lab for imaging, one large sim lab for minimally invasive surgical simulations, one mock up Operation Theatre, an E-learning room, a VR Anatomy room, a Mock up ER/ ICU, a large classroom, two mock up wards, a large simulation triage area with mock ambulance set up and storage rooms. read more
